Every day you decide which path you take, creating your life yourself each moment anew.
It’s mainly the many small decisions you make each day, not the rare big ones, that define yourself and the way your life unfolds before you.
Such as:
- Do I eat this sweets now, later or not at all?
- Do I go running now, after work in the evening or not at all?
- Do I make myself a coffee, a black tea, green tea, tonic or another soda or do I drink a glass of water now?
- Do I watch TV, stretch, meditate, take a language lesson or write down my thoughts before going to sleep?
Weeks ago I decided once again to change some things. But it didn’t work out the way I planned to. I watched myself taking all this small decisions which did not get me towards my goals. I kept thinking: “Not today, tomorrow I will do it differently, I don’t want now, maybe later ….”
Last weekend something changed within me. I changed the focus from the big targets far away to each little decision I make throughout the day, reflecting on every little thing I do.
A truly new stage of mindfulness.
The change in progress only after 7 days is unbelievable.
Such as:
- lost 3 kg
- the pain in my back is gone
- finally I am well hydrated
- since long established routines finally work, no excuses any more, if it’s sports or job related tasks
- my attitude becomes more positive through all the “green checkmarks” all day, as each positive decision is a success
